    White beans

Moroccan white beans are appreciated for their high fiber and protein content, tender texture after cooking, and culinary versatility. Mainly grown in open fields, they are available in semi-dry or dry versions, depending on market needs. Thanks to optimal growing conditions and traditional know-how, Morocco offers consistent volumes of white beans for export to Africa, Southern Europe and processing markets.

    Main growing regions

White beans are grown in agricultural areas suitable for legumes, with draining soil and a temperate climate:

    • Gharb - Kenitra: historical area of large-scale production.

    • Fès - Taounate: rich terroirs, good seasonal productivity.

    • Doukkala - El Jadida: mechanized cultivation, homogeneous size.

    • Marrakech - Haouz: semi-intensive cultivation for processing.

    • Tadla - Beni Mellal: strong local and export demand.

Harvest: from May to Julythen in autumn for off-season varieties.
