    Fresh white onions

    Fresh white onions from Morocco are renowned for their mild flavor, juicy flesh and beautiful pearly color. They are widely used in fresh cooking, catering and food processing. Grown in optimal natural conditions, they are harvested young to preserve all their freshness and nutritional value. Each season, Morocco exports regular volumes of white onions to African, European and Gulf markets.

    Main growing regions

    White onions are grown in temperate climates, with regular irrigation and good harvest control:

    • Gharb - Kenitra: large, homogeneous production.

    • El Jadida - Doukkala: very good earliness, well formed bulbs.

    • Fès - Taounate: a tradition of high-quality market gardening.

    • Marrakech - Haouz: firm bulbs, harvested by hand.

    • Souss-Massa: winter production in greenhouses and open fields.

    Harvest: from February to Junedepending on zone and variety.

     


    • Bundled white onions (with stem)
      Very fresh, harvested young, for restaurants and local markets.
      Packaged in bundles or trays.



    • Stemless white onions
      Bulb only, harvested young, very juicy.
      Ideal for fresh market or light processing.



    • Early white onions
      Short-cycle variety, harvested as early as February.
      Strong demand in winter markets.




    • Calibrated white onions for industry
      Prepared for slicing, freezing or sauces.
      Delivered in bulk or big bags.

    Capacity & Reservation Commitment:

    • Initial booking: 40 tons of fresh white onions available.
    • Total capacity per campaign: up to 400 tons under contract.
    • Weekly or fortnightly delivery, according to export schedule.
