    Eggplants

Moroccan eggplants are characterized by their glossy skin, melt-in-the-mouth texture and regular size. Grown mainly under glass, they are perfectly suited to the needs of supermarkets, restaurants and food processing. Thanks to a favorable climate and proven agronomic know-how, Morocco offers export-quality eggplants throughout the winter and spring seasons.

    Main growing regions

Eggplants thrive in sunny areas with light soil and controlled irrigation:

    • Souss-Massa (Chtouka Aït Baha, Agadir): early production, high quality.

    • Marrakech - Haouz: mixed field and greenhouse cultivation.

    • Gharb - Kenitra: high yield and good size.

    • El Jadida - Doukkala: continued growth for the mid-market.

    • Dakhla (test crop): optimal conditions for off-season.

Harvest: from November to Junewith peaks in March-April.
