    Pears

Moroccan pears seduce markets with their subtle taste, crunchy or melting texture depending on the variety, and beautiful natural presentation. Produced at altitude in controlled agricultural zones, they benefit from optimal ripening conditions. Thanks to a well-positioned season and logistical proximity to Europe and Africa, Morocco is becoming an increasingly valued player in fresh pear exports.

    Main growing regions

Pear cultivation is concentrated in areas of moderate to high altitude, with ideal climatic conditions for this demanding fruit:

    • El Hajeb: high yield, structured commercial production.

    • Khénifra: excellent natural coloring, superior size.

    • Fès - Sefrou: strong fruit-growing tradition, good post-harvest preservation.
