    Bananas

Moroccan bananas are renowned for their sweet taste, melting flesh and naturally homogeneous appearance. Although Morocco is not a classic tropical producer, cultivation in greenhouses and shelters in the southern coastal regions enables regular, high-quality production with a low carbon footprint. Intended for regional consumption and export to nearby markets, Moroccan bananas represent a fresh, competitive and sustainable alternative.

    Main growing regions

Bananas are grown in coastal areas with a mild, stable climate, favoring continuous growth all year round:

    • Souss-Massa (Agadir - Chtouka Aït Baha): main greenhouse production area.

    • Guelmim - Sidi Ifni: natural conditions conducive to open field cultivation.

    • Dakhla (advanced agricultural tests): crop under development for early export.

    • El Jadida - Doukkala: semi-intensive production in controlled orchards.

Harvesting takes place all year roundwith peak availability between October and March.
