    Apricots

    Moroccan apricots combine melt-in-the-mouth flesh, delicate aroma and a naturally brilliant orange color. Rich in fiber, vitamins and beta-carotene, this summer fruit is highly prized both for fresh consumption and for the processing industry. Thanks to a warm, dry climate and well-managed orchards, Morocco offers regular, high-quality production, perfectly suited to export.

    Main growing regions

    Apricot trees thrive in areas with early flowering and dry climates, ideal conditions for tasty, firm fruit:

    • Haouz - Marrakech: very good earliness, melting apricots.

    • Tadla - Béni Mellal: high production, large size.

    • Fès - El Hajeb: traditional orchards, consistent quality.

    • Souss-Massa: high yield, early harvest.

    • Khénifra - Azrou: cool conditions, for later harvest.

    Harvest: fromApril to Junedepending on variety and altitude.

    • Possibility of reaching 300 to 350 tonnes per year depending on confirmed contracts.

    The fruit is picked when commercially ripe, sorted and packed at certified packing stations.
